Nature of the website and content

AdEthic S.r.l., with registered offices inRome, at via del Mascherino, no. 46, is the sole proprietor of this website which it operates and updates on an independent basis. The website is designed to provide Catholics and non-Catholics, alike, an opportunity to create a network for the sale of advertising in support of solidarity-building initiatives. AdEthic was conceived and developed within the framework of Aleteia, the Catholic Church’s new project promoted by the Foundation for the Evangelisation through the Media (FEM) to share the Gospel message online with all those who thirst for truth.

 

Disclaimer – limitation on liability

AdEthic declines any liability whatsoever for any and all harm that Users may sustain as a direct or indirect consequence of their use or consultation of the website.

AdEthic may not be held liable for harm of any nature or kind whatsoever arising from the use of, or otherwise, access or denial of access to the website. AdEthic reserves the right to change and amend the terms and conditions of use of the website, at its sole discretion, without notice, at any time, as well as to screen and remove uploaded content, and to take the website offline.

While the information presented on this page has been drawn up with the utmost care, AdEthic provides no representation or warranty whatsoever that the said information is error-free or that the website is complete and updated.

Save as and to the extent specifically contemplated elsewhere on this website, neither AdEthic nor any of its directors, employees or other representatives may be held liable for any harm arising from or associated with use of this website. This limitation on liability shall, moreover, extend and apply to any and all kinds of harm, including, without limitation, direct and indirect harm, loss of data, loss of or damage to property, and third-party claims.

ADEthic also collects non-financial information, including, without limitation, the password of a website and/or cookies, through which any individual User may be identified while using, consulting or surfing the website adethic.net.

The Users of the website adethic.net may generate data through explicit interactions, such as, for instance, queries and other transactions.

The data requested and collected from Users consulting the website may include demographic and socio-economic information, such as, without limitation the sex, age, country or city of residence, or income, as well as the tastes, opinions and personal preferences of Users.

ADEthic uses this information as raw data for R&D projects and as feedback for further developing its activities, as well as for other purposes including, without limitation, systems administration, website personalisation, and the marketing of products and services, even through direct solicitation.

The information collected from Users is subject to disclosure within AdEthic’s organisation, as well as to partners, and may be used to identify and locate any specific User in connection with legal matters.

The website may feature links to websites owned or operated by third parties unrelated to AdEthic which may, accordingly, in no event be held liable for the availability and promotional or other content of such third-party websites, much less any harm or losses whatsoever arising from use of the same.

AdEthic, furthermore, declines all liability for the procedure and purposes through and for which personal data are collected and processed by third parties.

In light of its intention to set up a network of Catholic and non-Catholic websites that comply with the ethical principles entrenched in the Code of Ethics published on the website adethic.net, AdEthic may, in no event, be held liable for the content, products or services offered through websites affiliated with the network, as well as for the privacy policies, data security capabilities, and operating procedures of any and all such websites, and. above all, declines all liability for criminal offences and other breaches of statutory provisions committed through such websites,  or, otherwise, harm or losses of any nature or kind whatsoever that Users may sustain by accessing or consulting any website affiliated with our network.

Users access and consult third-party websites entirely at their own risk, it being understood that any and all claims and complaints regarding such websites must be addressed solely to the webmasters, systems administrators, owners or operators of the same.

AdEthic hosts hypertext links to third-party websites solely with a view to enhancing the User’s web experience.

All entitled persons and parties may request and require the systems administrator of AdEthic’s website to remove hypertext links hosted on the same.

 

Copyright

Without prejudice to the copyright of third-parties, all the content published on AdEthic’s website – including, without limitation, text documents, pictures, characters, artwork, graphics, software and layout revisions – are the exclusive copyrighted property of AdEthic, and therefore duly protected under Italian copyright law.

Accordingly, the content hosted on the website may not be copied, transcribed, changed, reproduced, downloaded, sent, transmitted and/or distributed in any manner or form whatsoever, without AdEthic’s express prior consent.

Links to AdEthic’s site may be hosted on third-party websites, whether on the homepage or elsewhere, subject to express prior written authorisation from AdEthic.

All framing of AdEthic’s website is strictly prohibited with the result that frames opening internal web pages of the website adethic.net may not be hosted on third-party websites.

 

Privacy

Any and all personal data disclosed by Users by e-mail or by filling in electronic forms, will be processed in strict compliance with applicable privacy regulations, and will not be divulged or otherwise disclosed to third-parties other than for purposes associated with AdEthic’s business operations.

Any and all personal data provided by Users will be stored and processed subject to all the data security and confidentiality precautions contemplated in Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.

Express reference is made to Legislative Decree no. 196 of 20.06.2003 in respect of, inter alia, the right of access of personal data (article 7), the information statement (article 13) and precautions covering sensitive data (article 26).

Mr. Andrea Salvati is the Data Processor of the personal data of Users, within the meaning of article 13 of the Privacy Code.

 

Applicable law

By mutual agreement between the User and AdEthic, any and all matter pertaining to the use of this website shall be governed by the laws and regulations of Italy, and, where applicable, subordinately, Community legislation, it being further understood that the Courts of Milan shall enjoy sole jurisdiction over any and all disputes of any nature or kind whatsoever that may arise from the use of this website.
