Advertising units are banners, text links, widgets or any other types of online advertising material that an advertiser supplies to its own publisher. In addition to the advertising message, the means used for publishing these always contain a specific code that includes a so-called tracking link. When an advertising unit is added to your website and a user clicks on it, the tracking link allows AdEthic to trace which publisher has generated the sale and will receive the commission accordingly.

Advertising spaces can also host advertising gathered by AdEthic via third party circuits, for example Google’s AdSense and AdExchange products.

These codes are normally printed on bank statements. Some banks also provide IBAN calculators, within their own websites, which allow a domestic bank number to be converted into an IBAN. Alternatively, you can ask your own bank for the IBAN and BIC/SWIFT codes.

The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is an international standard for the bank account numbers of different banks, used in international transactions and regulated by the ECBS, i.e. the European Committee for Banking Standards. In terms of our making international payments, it means that for you, as publishers, it is an easier, more reliable and faster way of receiving your payment. It is structured as an addition to the normal bank number. An Italian IBAN code for example, is structured in the following way:
a 2-letter country code + the check digits + the  ABI (Italian Banking Association)/CAB (Bank Sorting Code) number of the issuing bank and the account number itself – as in the following example:

The BIC/SWIFT code is a standard form of Bank Identifier Codes approved by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). It is a unique identification code for financial and non-financial institutions. These codes are used for the transfer of funds between banks, in particular for international bank transfers, as well as for the exchanging of other messages between banks. An Italian BIC/SWIFT code for example, is structured in the following way:

If you are a VAT registered publisher, AdEthic is obliged to collect the required fiscal details and to add the VAT to your credit notes.

Payment will take place 90 days from the end of the month when the earnings will reach the threshold figure of €100 per month (on the understanding that there are no suspensions on your account and all our regulations have been complied with). Therefore, if your earnings were to reach the threshold figure in say April, your payment would take place before the end of July.

If you do not reach the minimum threshold figure €100 in any one month, what you have earned in that particular month will be added to whatever you earn the following month and so it continues until you will have reached the minimum threshold figure. From the following month the calculation will restart from zero because all of the credit accrued by you on a monthly basis will be paid to you within 90 days of the end of the month of reference.
In order for a payment to take place, you will have to have entered the information required on the form relating to your tax details, as well as your personal details (address etc).

The minimum amount that can be paid is €100 per month.

When you become part of the AdEthic programme, you will be able to check your income at any time by logging on and consulting your reports. You will be in position of seeing the total number of clicks, impressions, percentage of clicks and total revenues generated by the adverts. These figures will give you an idea of how much the programme is paying much you can expect to earn in the future.

By publishing AdEthic ads Publishers will receive 50% of the amount collected by the advertisers. These  are standard, across the board percentages, irrespective of the geographical location of the publisher and in no way represent an average between the different publishers.

Basically, you will earn with AdEthic by publishing adverts on your site.
The advertisements published on your site can be CPC (Cost-per-click) or CPM (Cost-per-thousand Impressions) adverts. With CPC advertisements, you will be paid when users click on the adverts. With CPM adverts, you will be paid every time an advertisement is viewed by a visitor to your site.

Where a member is a natural person, he or she must be 18 years of age and over.
Where someone is not yet 18 years old, one of his or her parents will have to provide their consent when registering for the AdEthic service.

In order to avoid websites that are offensive or possibly misunderstanding, we check every site individually. We also monitor sites after they have begun publishing our adverts. If a site is found to have violated our regulations we will, at any moment in time, inform the Publisher and, in the said case, AdEthic will assess whether or not to suspend or close the account.

AdEthic doesn’t accept ‘sub-syndicated’ websites (i.e. www.yourname.domain.com) offered by free web hosting providers.

• Impression = an impression (in the context of online advertising) is the number of times an advert is displayed and whether it is clicked or not. Every time an advert is displayed it is calculated as one single impression.
• CPC or Cost-per-click. The remuneration envisaged when a user clicks on a banner. It is also called PPC or Pay-per-click.
• CPL or Cost-per-lead. The remuneration envisaged when a user clicks on a banner and accesses a landing page where the completion of a registration form is required. It is also called PPL or Pay-per-lead.
• CPS or Cost-per-sale. This is the remuneration envisaged when a user completes a purchase on line starting from a banner served by AdEthic. After having entered the payment details and having correctly concluded the purchase, a sale is acknowledged. It is also called PPS or Pay-per-sale.

No, because as you probably know the free domain service on wordpress.com cannot technically accept (neither on its pages nor within the widgets) advertising scripts of any sort.

To use the advertisements of the AdEthic worldwide network, you can opt from one of several solutions available on the Net from, the point of view of the choice of domains that are different to WordPress, on which to host your Internet space.

Payments will be made on the basis of a Statement made available to the Purchaser by AdEthic and will be made to the Publisher once a minimum threshold of € 100 has been reached. Payment of the amount due to the Publisher will be made by AdEthic within 90 (ninety) days of the end of each solar month in which the Account statement is made available. Where the amount payable to the Publisher is less than € 100, payment will be deferred until the minimum threshold of € 100 has been reached and will take place in the method described previously.

The Publisher will be entitled to receive a sum of money that represents a share of AdEthic’s revenues on advertisements by third party advertisers resulting from the Adverts and the Referral Keys that are displayed on its the site/s owned by it. Said sum will be determined using a number of factors, which include:

(a) the number of clicks on the Adverts that appear on their owned site/s;
(b) the number of valid impressions of Adverts displayed on their owned site/s;
(c) the number of Referral Events effectively completed and begun through the Referral Keys displayed on their owned site/s and/or other events that have occurred in connection with display of the Adverts on their owned site/s.

The share of revenues that the publisher will receive will be at the discretion of AdEthic and payments will be calculated solely on the basis of the logs held by AdEthic. The data visible on AdEthic’s dashboard may not be identical to those used for the actual calculation of the Publisher’s earnings.

The duration of the contract is determined by the parties at the moment of signing. The contract is considered automatically renewable every time for an equal period, where neither Party has informed the other of its intention to terminate the contract by providing advance notice 30 DAYS ahead of the contract’s expiry date.

The Publisher will have the right not to continue its contractual relationship, or to eliminate advertisements placed on its sites, in those cases where it retains that the advertising suggested by AdEthic would be detrimental to its own convictions, or contrary to the prestige and the moral and material interests of the same, or in contradiction with the law or with the Advertising Code of Practice (http://www.iap.it/).

Where the Publisher receives requests for advertisements of any type directly, it will forward these immediately to AdEthic, with the exception of those notices that are of direct interest to the Publisher in favour of the dissemination of its owned site.

The Publisher guarantees that for the entire duration of this Contract the sites owned by it will maintain both quantitative/qualitative levels and will not alter the contents published and in existence at the moment of registration.

The Publisher is not obliged to place all the formats proposed by AdEthic on its pages. The Publisher can choose the advertising formats, how many to publish and their position on the page.

By registering on-line and by means of this agreement the Publisher undertakes to take part in the Network and agrees to participate in the Google Programme and accepts the conditions laid down by these (readable at the website https://www.google.com/adsense); Google will nevertheless have the absolute right not to accept the Publisher’s request to take part, without this resulting in any responsibility on the part of AdEthic.

By registering on-line and subscribing to this agreement the Publisher grants AdEthic the sale of advertising on sites owned by it.

When a contract is interrupted, and you have accrued a credit of more than €5, this will be paid to you within 90 days of the contract’s termination.

The statistics provide an overview of all the viewings, clicks, leads and revenues generated, the commissions earned over a set period of time and certain key performance indicators such as the conversion, confirmation or click-through rates.

You can access your own statistics by opening the Report file   (Dashboard – click on your Internet site) in your user area (clicking on Access from the Adethic.net site). Here you will find numerous default reports that will allow you to monitor your own performance and to analyse a number of key indicators regarding the performance of your marketing activities.
